Poet

In 1986, I discovered the joy of rhyme and realised that words can inspire, challenge, comfort, and change lives—especially when woven together through storytelling and poetry.

I spent 25 years working as a youth worker and performing as a Christian rap artist under the name The Master's MC – Poetic Justice, taking energetic, message-driven performances into schools, churches, and community events across the country.

The days of high-energy rap performances may be behind me, but the passion for rhythm, rhyme, and communication remains as strong as ever. Today, that passion finds expression through performance poetry and spoken-word.

I have published five poetry collections and am currently developing a series of immersive spoken-word performances, each exploring a different aspect of the human experience.

FRAGMENTS explores the pieces of life that shape us—from memories and relationships to loss, mental health, and the search for identity.

ECHOES shares Brendan's Christian testimony through poetry and storytelling, reflecting on faith, purpose, redemption, and the ways God speaks into everyday life.

WARRIOR is a deeply personal journey through illness, survival, resilience, and hope, revealing how our greatest battles can shape who we become.

MIRRORS turns its gaze towards the world around us, holding a mirror up to society and inviting audiences to reflect on the beauty, brokenness, absurdity, and wonder of everyday life.

Alongside performances, Brendan offers poetry and creative writing workshops for schools, churches, community groups, and organisations. These interactive sessions encourage participants to discover the power of language, storytelling, rhyme, and self-expression, helping people of all ages find their own voice and tell their own stories.

Whether through performance, workshops, or published work, Brendan’s aim remains the same: to connect with people through words that entertain, inspire, challenge, and leave a lasting impression.
